I am Apple, aka apple666world, aka DRINKUNTILIACHE. I create work inspired by the yamikawaii and eroguro subcultures. My main medium is digital illustrations created in Microsoft Paint featuring the two characters Megumi and Haruhi.

I create the art for DUIA as a coping mechanism for myself and to resonate with others who can relate. My art combines ultra kawaii anime schoolgirls with darker themes such as suicidality, self harm, mental illness, and the occult. The aim of my work is to provide comfort to those who can relate to the characters so they know that they are not alone in their struggle and that there is always hope, no matter what.

I use MSPaint as my work takes a lot of inspiration from 2000s-2010s anime and using such a limited program gives it a rougher, older look. I am heavily inspired by the work of Bisuko Ezaki, specifically his character Menhera-chan and also created Megumi and Haruhi to be able to cope with my emotions. I wanted to be able to create emotional art that resonated with others just as Menhera-chan resonated with me. Some of my other inspirations include MARETU, Goreshit, laceygames, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

All my work as apple666world has provided me with a lot of joy and catharsis. I hope Megumi and Haruhi can help many other people.
